FIRST PHASE

This collection represents a developing phase in my artistic journey. It is inspired by the textures and beauty of bark, forests, waterfalls, and snow. Although I grew up in a city and have always loved city life, starting a family made me seek quiet moments and the calming sounds of nature, as an escape from the busyness of parenthood.

I once came across an interior photo of a modern cabin house surrounded by snow, with a fireplace and a simple, cozy interior located somewhere in a Scandinavian forest. Perhaps I was longing for the snow from Japan. Living overseas has been challenging, and I struggled with my sense of identity. But I began to search for myself in this new place, to discover what makes me unique here.

This is where I started reconnecting with my heritage, learning about the Wabi-Sabi aesthetic and the tea ceremony, and incorporating these elements into my work.
