Traces Of Time 静寂と経年

Like geological layers and rocks formed through changes in the natural environment, human experiences accumulate over time, shaping the course of a life. This collection evokes a quiet, twilight-like space in which memories are gently revisited, and the layers of lived experience are expressed through imagery inspired by cross-sections of cut marble.

The top layer of each work may appear to be painted with multiple colours, yet it is primarily created from a single base hue. By engaging the inherent properties of acrylic paint and its interaction with water, the process unfolds through close observation of the subtle changes that emerge over time. As with choices made in life, some moments are guided intentionally, while others are allowed to unfold naturally. Through this process, experiences gradually accumulate and are layered into each piece.

自然環境の変化によって形成される地層や岩石のように、人の経験もまた、時間をかけて蓄積され、その人の人生そのものを形づくっていく。本コレクションでは、黄昏時に記憶を辿るような静かな空間と、これまで積み重ねられてきた経験の層を、美しい大理石をカットした断面をイメージして表現した。
トップレイヤーの表情は、さまざまな色を重ねているように見えるかもしれない。けれども、ベージュからブラウンへと広がる色調は、一つのベースカラーから生み出されたものだ。アクリル絵具の特性と水との反応を用い、時間の経過とともに現れる変化を見つめながら制作を進める。人生の選択のように、時には手を加え、時には自然の流れに委ねる。その過程そのものを、経験が静かに蓄積していく姿と重ね合わせ、作品を完成させた。
